Back to basics
A mixed medium painting with natural colours and a feel for ancient history combined with today’s modern technology. The inspiration came from old houses that were made from clay and leam in the early days and the contrast with todays modern live.
The two images that are integrated in the artwork are photo copies that the artist made of the same painting , giving it the contrast from now and than. This art work is a combination made… with traditional and high tec materials . The texture resembling the wear and tare from time, the fact that it’s possible to take photos and add it on an artwork is an example of how advanced our world is right now.

Wendy van Putten is een schilder en beeldhouwer, gevestigd in Spanje. Haar werk is zowel nationaal als in het Verenigd Koninkrijk tentoongesteld. De centrale thema's in haar werk verkennen de natuur, de omgeving en het innerlijk, vertaald door de lens van haar gedachten en fantasie. Hoewel Wendy van Puttens karakteristieke composities doordrenkt zijn met boodschappen, geeft ze er de voorkeur aan dat de kijker verbinding maakt en tot zijn eigen conclusies komt, zonder dat het verhaal achter elk werk aan haar wordt verteld. Ze creëert met acrylverf, hars en texturen.
