Andrei Smaliak ist ein erfahrener belarussischer Künstler, der eine Kindheit an den Wänden seines Hauses gezeichnet und am Fluss Slepianka gespielt hat. Smaliak hat auch ein herausforderndes Jahr in einem sowjetischen Gefängnis verbracht und später eine Reihe von Jobs zur Unterstützung seines Sohnes ausgeführt. Alle seine Lebenserfahrungen haben Smaliaks Arbeit geprägt und seinen anhaltenden, leidenschaftlichen künstlerischen Geist bestätigt. Heute bieten seine Bilder nachdenkliche Visionen, leuchtende Farben und rätselhafte Fenster in andere Welten.
