Brut Carniollus ist ein slowenischer Fotograf und bildender Künstler, der sich in erster Linie mit auf Fotografie basierenden digitalen Collagen und digitalen Grafiken beschäftigt. Seine Grundschullehrerin machte ihn mit verschiedenen Kunstbüchern bekannt, die ihm die unendlichen Möglichkeiten des Kunsthandwerks bewusst machten. Nicht viel später begann er mit weiteren Recherchen und fand schließlich Fotografie als die Stilrichtung, in der er sich am wohlsten fühlt.
