Egene Koo ist eine preisgekrönte südkoreanische Künstlerin, deren Werke landesweit sowie in Großbritannien, Deutschland, Japan, China und Indien ausgestellt wurden. Ihre einzigartigen Arbeiten zeigen hybride Bilder, die von Menschen, Tieren und der Natur inspiriert sind. Koo ist fasziniert von der menschlichen Existenz und der Jungschen Psychologie, die besagt, dass die menschliche Natur durch Mythen und Märchen erforscht wird. Sie verwendet die Bilder von Kreaturen symbolisch, um die inneren Gedanken der dargestellten Person auszudrücken.
