Ibragim Shanaevs Werke wurden in seiner Heimat Russland sowie in China, Italien, Frankreich, Belgien und der Schweiz ausgestellt. Der Maler glaubt, dass jedes Ereignis, Objekt und die Welt um uns herum mit einer „unsichtbaren essentiellen Essenz gefüllt ist, die uns mit Energie erfüllt“. Es ist sein künstlerisches Ziel, diese Essenz durch Farben, die Anordnung von Linien und Flecken sowie abstrakte Formen zu offenbaren. Sein bevorzugtes Medium ist Öl auf Leinwand.
