Maria Drozdovas Werke sind von kulturellen Codes und Symbolen durchdrungen. Der ukrainische Maler hat auf nationaler Ebene sowie in Polen, Deutschland und Italien viel ausgestellt. Drozdova orientiert sich nicht an einem bestimmten Stil und erklärt, dass sie sich für "Kunst im Allgemeinen" interessiert. Sie verwendet häufig Collagen und kombiniert Fotografie, Grafik, Malerei und Performance in ihren Kompositionen.
