Philippe Manuel Mercier ist ein preisgekrönter französischer Bildhauer, Maler und Zeichner, der sowohl national als auch in den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten ausgestellt hat. Seine Arbeiten beschäftigen sich mit Themen wie Bewegung, Kinetik, Energie und Biomimikry. Nachdem er mit Zeichnen und Schreiben experimentiert hatte, versuchte er sich in der Holzbearbeitung. Erst als er das Medium des freien Schneidens entdeckte, fand er seinen Weg künstlerisch. Merciers Werke bestehen hauptsächlich aus Marmor.
