Über das Werk
A finely composed, abstractly constructed horizon unfolds in delicate pastel tones, lending the work an exceptional sense of elegance and lightness. The softly harmonised fields of colour appear to flow seamlessly into one another, creating a harmonious yet subtly dynamic atmosphere.
The painting’s distinctive depth emerges through the interplay of various artistic techniques. Texture paste, five successive layers of glaze, numerous delicate colour… transitions, and the incorporation of carefully selected natural materials create a richly layered and vibrant surface.
Each layer contributes to the overall composition without demanding attention for itself. The abstract horizon does not represent a specific landscape; instead, it becomes an open space for perception and personal interpretation.
The work is defined by its quiet presence — elegant, refined, and at the same time imbued with depth.
