Über das Werk
During my sea voyages, I take a lot of photos from land and from the yacht. I photograph the sky, the water, the mountains, the sunset, the waves, the play of light on the water. When I return to my studio, I make paintings based on my photos. Many of my photos look like Polaroid snapshots. For me, the most important thing is to convey my state of mind, not the details. When I look at the photos, I remember my feelings and transfer them to the surface…
