Surface Current is an original abstract painting shaped by layers, movement and contrast.
Turquoise and vivid blue dominate the composition, interrupted by deep navy marks, fluid lines, splashes and small flashes of lime. The surface feels active and spontaneous, while the square format gives the painting a strong sense of balance.
From a distance, the work has a clear blue presence. Up close, the composition becomes much more complex: translucent… layers overlap, individual brush marks emerge and smaller details begin to stand out.
The title Surface Current refers to this constant movement across the canvas. There is no single direction or focal point. Instead, the eye moves through different areas, discovering new details with every closer look.
