My name is Wolfgang Ziemer. I was born in Germany on July 15, 1949. I’ve been taking photos since I was 15. That’s when my “career” began.
Later, my focus shifted. Since around 1980, as a communication and conceptual artist, I have encouraged people to collaborate creatively—using photography, video, fax, and the Internet.
As a communication and conceptual artist, I was part of an international movement and an active participant in various international symposia in numerous European cities (Paris, France; Salerno, Italy; Linz, Austria; Thessaloniki, Greece; Inverness, Scotland; Helsinki, Finland) and in Cambridge, Massachusetts (MIT) in the U.S.
These days, I am once again primarily focused on photography and exploring ways to edit my photos to create works that amaze viewers, are breathtaking, and often look as if they were painted.
