Chris Hawtin è un pittore e scultore britannico che ha esposto ampiamente il suo lavoro a Londra. Le sue composizioni sono nate dall'interrogazione della pittura di paesaggio contemporanea, in particolare nel contesto di un tempo tecnologicamente accelerato in cui lo spazio geografico diventa sempre meno importante. Dipinge così vasti paesaggi invasi da figure fluttuanti, straniere, che rappresentano l'interruzione inquieta della natura pura e distruggono le percezioni comuni sul contenuto e sulla forma.
