Johnson produce le sue vasche di fermentazione indaco non tossiche, quindi piega la carta giapponese in varie forme prima di immergerla più volte nelle vasche. Johnson utilizza quindi foglie d'oro 24 carati per riparare le lacrime naturali che compaiono durante questo processo ad alta intensità di lavoro. I pezzi di indaco e oro di Johnson hanno una profondità di colore e un'intensità di emozione che riflettono il loro potente processo di creazione.
