Michael Williams è un pittore britannico, nato a Patna, in India, e ora vive a Stroud, nel Gloucestershire. Ha letto Storia all'Università di Oxford e poi è andato a Parigi brevemente, frequentando la scuola d'arte della Grande Chaumière. Tornato a Londra, ha insegnato Storia dell'Arte presso la Central Saint Martins e poi Pittura presso Goldsmiths e altre istituzioni. I suoi dipinti in stile figurativo sono legati alle sue esperienze passate.
