Shana (Shushanik Danilyants) è nata nel 1967 a Fergana-city, Uzbekistan nell'ex Unione Sovietica. Ha studiato arte al Benkoff Art College, a Tashkent-city, laureandosi nel 1984 come scenografa. Continuando la sua formazione, ha studiato all'Ostrovsky State University of Fine Arts a Tashkent-city, laureandosi come artista di TV e Cinema. Nel 1999, Shana e la sua famiglia si sono trasferiti in Canada, dove continuano a risiedere oggi. Shana ora lavora per trasmettere la sua conoscenza artistica a giovani e adulti in una scuola d'arte di proprietà con sede a Concord, la Palette Art School, insieme alla sua pittura.
