Yuliya Martynova è una giovane artista promettente originaria del Kazakistan. Dopo essersi trasferita nel Regno Unito all'età di 15 anni, Martynova ha studiato giurisprudenza e ha lavorato per 10 anni nella gestione patrimoniale prima di lasciare il mondo aziendale per dedicarsi all'arte. Le sue opere a olio su tela sono caratterizzate da strutture delicate e forti narrazioni tratte dalle sue osservazioni sulla natura umana. L'opera di Martynova contempla la partenza e il processo cognitivo di perdere qualcosa di prezioso come l'identità, l'innocenza o l'infanzia.
