27 Seconds is the very first work in the semi-abstract urban series City View. It portrays a city in the background, captured in a precise and fleeting instant. The scene unfolds in a suspended moment where night slowly dissolves into time, lasting only twenty-seven seconds.
The sun has just set, yet darkness has not fully arrived. Shadows stretch and begin to command attention, while a resilient light still holds its ground. Painted in oil on canvas,… the composition balances depth and abstraction, evoking the dense rhythm of the urban landscape.
Within this visual labyrinth, forms remain intentionally undefined, allowing the viewer’s gaze and mind to wander. The city becomes both place and perception, a transient state where light, time, and memory briefly coexist before fading away.
