Oniomania Desire takes on a silent, elegant, almost seductive form. A female figure emerges from intense colors and decorative objects, surrounded by precious cups, floral motifs, and ornamental details that evoke the pleasure of purchasing, collecting, and perfect aesthetics. But behind the beauty lies a deeper question: how much of our desire truly comes from within, and how much from the need to fill an invisible void? The work is inspired by…
the increasingly widespread phenomenon of oniomania—the uncontrollable impulse to purchase—which today manifests itself in a subtle and normalized way, especially in the contemporary female universe, where identity, image, and consumption are often intertwined. However, I didn't want to create an aggressive denunciation. I wanted to create a temptation. This is why the composition seduces the eye: the colors vibrate, the objects seem desirable, almost to be possessed. The viewer is drawn to the same dynamic that the work questions.
