When does the circus arrive — and who is it really for?
In this piece, the circus does not stand on the ground. It floats above the clouds, distant and untouchable, like a promise.
Below, a quiet figure waits under fragile festival flags — suspended between hope and memory.
This painting explores the space between expectation and presence. The moment before something magical happens — or perhaps… the realization that the magic was never meant to descend.
It speaks to those who have ever waited for wonder… and discovered it within themselves instead.
This painting will be shipped from Italy in a cardboard box.
For Italy and Eu countries it will take 1-5 working days dispatch. For other countries 3-14 business days to prepare customs documentation. For any information contact me.
Evgenia Smirnova was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia, one of the most beautiful art cities in the world, which greatly influenced her perception of art and beauty. However, she began painting at the age of 26 after moving to Sicily, Italy, where she pursued her education at the private art school of the Sicilian painter Salvo Coglitori. There, she discovered her passion for color. Later, she took a Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute, where she unveiled her unique artistic voice.
In the last three years, her paintings have been exhibited in Rome, Milan, Venice, Arte Padova 2021, Arte Genova 2022, Saint Petersburg, Taiwan, and other locations. In 2024 Guy Laliberté acquired one of her paintings for the public collection of Lune Rouge." "Evgenia defines her art as whimsical poetry. She enjoys speaking about freedom and the exploration of ourselves and our true desires. Evgenia says: 'There are no boundaries in art or in life. Life is meant to be lived.'"
