A curation by Raffaella Nobili, Owner and curator at Paraventi Giapponesi - The works presented begin with the concept of a map, but they do not describe a territory solely from a geographical perspective: they simultaneously reveal a network of relationships. Anthropology tells us that the world is not a collection of fixed and isolated points as they appear on maps, but is based primarily on human connections: paths, exchanges, and crossings. In this curation, maps become living surfaces on which the micro-memories of individuals settle within more massive global movements. Each selected artist intervenes on the map as if it were a transforming organism, thus ceasing to be a mere static archive and becoming a field of possibility, a place where signs reconstruct the world rather than simply represent it.
