About this artwork
CIRCUS: a series of works featuring the Guinean artists of the Baobab Circus. I sought to immerse myself in their very precise gestures, first by photographing them in action. Then I reworked the photos digitally and with paint to create a series of pigment prints between mysteries and presences. This work captures the hidden beauty of natural textures and colors, revealed by a subtle play of light and shadow. I wanted to express the poetry of the…
