Salvador Dalí
Salvador Dalí was a Spanish painter, printmaker and provocateur born in Figueres, Catalonia, and alongside Miró and Magritte, one of the towering figures of Surrealism. A dazzling technician with a genius for self-invention, he mined dreams, desire and the subconscious to create some of the most famous images in modern art, above all The Persistence of Memory (1931), with its soft, melting clocks, now held at MoMA in New York. Beyond his celebrated canvases he was an exceptionally prolific printmaker and engraver, producing signed, editioned works that remain within reach for private collectors today. His extraordinary legacy is enshrined at the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, which he designed himself and which remains one of Spain's most visited museums. Each Dalí work offered on Singulart is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, and our art advisors are always on hand, free of charge, to assist you.
