About this artwork
CIRCUS: a series of works featuring the Guinean artists of the Baobab Circus. I sought to immerse myself in their very precise gestures, first by photographing them in action. Then I reworked the photos digitally and with paint to create a series of pigment prints between mysteries and presences. In this digital work, I wanted to capture the feeling of freedom and lightness, like a plunge into the unknown. The shades of blue create an almost dreamlike…
