Der preisgekrönte russische Maler Alexey Akindinov hat Arbeiten in ganz Russland, Europa und den USA gezeigt. Akindinov verwendet Öl auf Leinwand und verwendet klassische und realistische Maltechniken, gemischt mit einem neuen Stil - "Ornamentalismus". Dieser von Akindinov kreierte Stil beinhaltet das Auferlegen von spitzenartigen Mustern über realistischen Szenen und das Dekonstruieren von Objekten in kunstvolle und komplizierte Designs.
