Ivan Korshunov ist ein preisgekrönter russischer Künstler, dessen Gemälde national sowie in den Niederlanden, Belgien, Lettland und China ausgestellt wurden. Er ist fasziniert von dem Konzept, dass Kunst eine komplexe Kombination aus objektiver Realität und subjektiver Wahrnehmung ist. Korshunovs hyperrealistische Gemälde untersuchen diese Konzeption, indem sie erkennbare Bilder aus Geschichte, Religion und zeitgenössischer Populärkultur anachronistisch überlagern. Er kreiert mit den traditionellen Techniken der Alten Meister und verwendet hauptsächlich Öle auf Leinwand.
