Die kroatische Malerin Jelena Remetin ist eine UNESCO-Friedenskünstlerin und künstlerische Botschafterin Kroatiens. Remetins komplexer Prozess besteht darin, altmodische Malstile neuen Technologien gegenüberzustellen. Sie skizziert und überlagert zuerst Bilder und Fotografien, überarbeitet sie dann digital und fügt letzte Schichten aus Acryl, Pastell und Kohle hinzu. Remetins Kreationen erforschen das Geheimnis, die Gewalt und die Stärke der Menschheit mithilfe einer gedämpften Farbpalette, präzisen Pinselstrichen und digitaler Überlagerung.
