Svetlana Peter is an Austrian artist, born in Dnipro (Ukraine) and shaped by her artistic education in Moscow. After a long career in marketing, she fully dedicated herself to art, developing a distinctive visual language between abstraction and figuration. Her work has been exhibited across Austria, Italy, and Belgium. Working intuitively, she uses layering as both a material and conceptual approach—revealing, concealing, and transforming. Figurative elements emerge as ephemeral presences, while open circular forms evoke continuity, transformation, and the cyclical nature of time. Through mixed media, including wood and metal, she expands the pictorial space into the physical realm. Reflecting contemporary themes such as ecological uncertainty, emotional fragmentation, and connection, her work remains poetic and life-affirming, exploring vulnerability, resilience, and transformation.
