La vie d'Alexandru Raevschi en tant qu'artiste a commencé après un accident qui l'a laissé dans un état semi-paralysé pendant un mois et demi. Son art a été largement exposé à travers l'Europe, la Russie et le Brésil, avec des œuvres figurant également dans de nombreuses collections permanentes du musée. L'art de Raevschi explore les thèmes entourant le traumatisme de la mémoire, la politique d'invisibilité et les questions entourant l'interaction humaine dans le domaine du politique. Il crée en utilisant les médiums de «l'action artistique», la peinture, la sculpture, les installations sonores et photo-vidéo.
