« I love the smell of the paint and its softness, the sound of the brush. »

Power from light and shadow
Painting has always been important to Isa Dahl. Even in her childhood she was astonished by the paintings of the Old Masters. At the age of 12, Isa Dahl discovers the Madeleine à la veilleuse by Georges de la Tour at the Louvre in Paris and is impressed by the play of light, the bright and dark in this painting. To this day, she communicates this enthusiasm through her own works, which radiate a color-intensive depth and seem illuminated by various sources of light.Lire la suite
Images between dynamic and calm
Using rhythmically curved brushstrokes, Isa Dahl applies several layers of oil paint to the canvas wet on wet, thus developing abstract landscapes that are reminiscent of feathers, of fine hair structures. By staggering different layers of color, the artist creates an impressive image depth that the observer can plunge into, piercing through the interaction of dynamics and calm.
An artist on a long-term road of success
Isa Dahl has been exhibiting her works in numerous solo exhibitions since 1994, including the Kunstmuseum Singen, the Haus am Lützowplatz in Berlin, the Galerie Barbara von Stechow, Frankfurt, Galerie Abtart, Stuttgart (Germany), the Neue Kunst Gallery in Athens (Greece), or the Kunstraum, Stein am Rhein, (Switzerland). Isa Dahl regularly attends numerous exhibitions in Germany, including Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Dusseldorf and Berlin.Masquer
