Sikelela Owen est une artiste peintre qui vit à Londres. Elle est diplômée en Beaux-arts du Chelsea College of Art and Design et de la Royal Academy of Arts. Ses peintures explorent l'histoire de la peinture sur toile, car elle utilise des techniques traditionnelles pour raconter des sujets personnels et d’actualité dans ses œuvres. Elles nous semblent ainsi familières, sans pourtant pouvoir les déchiffrer au premier regard.
