Umberto Stefanelli, un ancien New-Yorkais qui a découvert son art au Japon, capture des images avec le médium tangible mais insaisissable de la lumière. Autoproclamé « garagiste bordelais », ses images décrivent des passions brutes et des émotions inarticulées à travers une surréalité abstraite, avec de la profondeur ajoutée par l'art de la soustraction. Dépourvue de faux-semblant et ancrée dans des poussées d'émotion inexplorées, le travail de Stefanelli personnifie remarquablement cet élan sans nom.
