À propos de l'oeuvre
:
“Eclectic Eyes” by Chaymae Lysm is a sculpture that blends strength and fragility in a highly impactful material dialogue. The black hand, solid and sculpted with decisive expressiveness, holds a transparent and irregular globe, evoking the concept of protection but also of precariousness. The surface of the sphere, with its imperfections and fractures, suggests the complexity of human vision: the gaze on the world is multifaceted, changeable,… vulnerable.
The contrast between the opacity of the base and the translucency of the upper element accentuates the tension between the tangible and the intangible. The work invites reflection on the role of observation in understanding reality: what we see is always filtered by who we are. Lysm thus creates a powerful visual metaphor where matter and symbol intertwine. The sculpture is not just an object but an idea that encompasses conceptual depth and refined artistic expressiveness.
