Crystal Michielsen, autodidact, gebruikt pyrografie op berkenmultiplex en brengt het medium tot leven in India. Haar stijl combineert gemengde media, waarbij ze acrylverf, inkt en bister verweeft met rijke tinten, terwijl ze symbolische verhalen articuleert met behulp van de organische lijnen die het hout biedt.
