Fanitsa Petrou is een schilder en illustrator die diverse media gebruikt op doek of papier. Haar werk is vaak geïnspireerd door mythologie, spiritualiteit, fantasie, de natuur, Europese symbolische tradities en folklore. Haar kunst verweeft elementen van Art Nouveau, botanische illustraties en mythologische thema's met diepgaande lagen en opvallende contrasten. Haar werken roepen een mystieke dans op tussen schaduw en licht, en nodigen de kijker uit om schoonheid en diepte te ontdekken in de duisternis.

Haar originele schilderijen bevinden zich in collecties in Europa en de Verenigde Staten. Een van haar illustraties is gebruikt in een Netflix-project.
