Iromie Wijewardena is een Sri Lankaanse kunstenaar met internationale bekendheid. Ze is een multidisciplinaire kunstenares en haar belangrijkste materialen zijn textuurpasta, glaskralen, micavlokken en bladgoud, zilver en roségoud. Haar gekozen thema's zijn de innerlijke wereld van de vrouw, de verborgen schoonheid van het gewone, en het weerspiegelen van verschillende menselijke situaties door de ogen van een vrouw. Haar schilderijen zijn kleurrijke afbeeldingen van vrouwen uit zowel landelijke als stedelijke locaties.
