Jan Bollaert is een Belgische schilder wiens werken op grote schaal zowel nationaal als in de Verenigde Staten en Nederland zijn geëxposeerd. Als ervaren kunstenaar beschrijft hij de overgang naar schilderen met olieverf in 2000 als "een nieuw universum openen" voor hem. Het figuratieve staat altijd centraal in Bollaerts door pop-art beïnvloede composities, die vaak iconische personages uitbeelden.
