Katja Nagel is een Duits-Griekse kunstenares die woont en werkt in München en op het eiland Hydra. Haar werk combineert symbolische kleurenwerelden met poëtische mythologie. Haar schilderijen ontwikkelen zich in series die thema's als natuur, oorsprong, mythe en identiteit verkennen. Ze heeft een sterke band met Griekenland – cultureel, emotioneel en geografisch. De afgelopen drie jaar heeft Katja Nagel zich razendsnel gevestigd op de kunstmarkt. In 2023 hield ze een pop-up galerie in München voor één avond. In 2024 toonde het Historisch Archiefmuseum van Hydra haar AEGEO-serie in een solotentoonstelling van vier weken, gevolgd in 2025 door een solopresentatie van drie weken van haar GAIA-serie in een gerenommeerde galerie in Athene. Beide tentoonstellingen kregen uitgebreide aandacht van de pers en het publiek. Ze heeft tot nu toe meer dan 40 werken verkocht.
