Nikolay Dmitriev is een kunstenaar gevestigd in Rusland wiens schilderijen te zien zijn geweest in tal van solotentoonstellingen op nationaal niveau. Zijn artistieke praktijk is gebaseerd op de studie van de natuur en hij creëert vaak in de openlucht. Dmitrievs landschappen en stillevens versmelten realisme met impressionisme. Voor hem is het behoud van vitaliteit en levendigheid van de leerstof, in combinatie met de fijne detaillering, van het grootste belang. Hij maakt gebruik van olieverf en pastelkrijt op canvas of karton.
