Svetlana Ivanova, een schilderes met een achtergrond in biochemie en een doctoraat, ontdekte twintig jaar geleden haar ware roeping in de schilderkunst. Ze beheerst een breed scala aan technieken, van die van de oude Italiaanse meesters tot abstractie en mixed media, en werkt met olieverf, acrylverf, tempera, aquarel en potala. Haar kunst verkent spirituele en filosofische thema's en viert steevast de overwinning van licht op duisternis. Door middel van haar suggestieve symboliek nodigt ze de kijker uit om na te denken over de zin van het leven en biedt ze een inkijkje in haar bezielde interpretatie van de wereld.
