Matthias Deller

Matthias Deller works primarily with acrylics and mixed media and is a self-taught painter who continually develops his skills through experimental learning and the creation of coherent series of works. His technique combines reduced representation with abstract painting, blending urban and architectural structures with open, atmospheric color spaces. In his works, he creates a balanced tension between structure and openness, emotionally engaging viewers and encouraging their own interpretation.
