Arturas Smalenskas

Arturas Smalenskas is a self-taught Lithuanian painter, residing in Spain, who has primarily worked in abstract painting since 2017. He explores techniques and styles such as surrealism, expressionism, naturalism, and cubism, combining colors and forms with meticulous dedication, creating works full of symbols and visual stories.
My artistic training is self-taught, developed over time through constant practice, observation, and personal experimentation. My work arises from an intuitive and free process, without formal academic training, which has allowed me to construct my own pictorial language.

To date, I have not participated in institutional exhibitions nor received any awards or artist residencies, placing my work within the realm of independent creation. This reinforces the personal and genuine nature of my work, which is open to the viewer's interpretation.
