Claire Shār is a Paris based painter and writer, born in 1990. Her practice brings together pictorial research, literary inquiry, and neuroscience, centered on rhythm as a mode of human subjectivation. After a French Baccalaureate in Visual Arts, she studied Italian literature and art history, then trained in business and marketing while pursuing drawing and painting. She later returned to literary research, developing a framework she calls neuropoïetics, including a published thesis and an article in preparation. She teaches French literature and pursues a somatic practice, as an inquiry into attention and the co determination of body, language, image, and mind. Her work has been presented in the solo show "What day owes the night" in Paris. Solitary travel and interdisciplinary encounters inform her process. She is currently developing "Shelt-Her", a major pictorial cycle extending her research on rhythm and metacognition.
