Frédérique Mussat

Frédérique Mussat, originally from Finistère, is a painter, draftsman, and printmaker. The result of training in Fine Arts studios and ongoing personal practice, her style oscillates between figuration and abstraction, marked by the use of various media: oil and acrylic paint, pencils, charcoal, pastels, Indian ink, gouache, and printmaking techniques.

Inspired by nature, her creations are divided between realistic work "from nature" and work halfway between figuration/abstraction, structure/decomposition.
Sometimes urban elements (traces, writing, etc., on the walls and the ground) are superimposed.
In her works, Frédérique Mussat seeks to reproduce the visual experience and the emotion felt in the moment to "go beyond reality and transform it."
Photography is also part of his creative process.
