Harald Hauswald

Harald Hauswald is a photographer with a traditional craft background who has focused on street photography since the 1970s. He works spontaneously, preferring black and white as well as color photography, and now also uses digital techniques, often with his mobile phone. His unpretentious and documentary style is characterized by the fact that he never stages scenes, but rather seeks out authentic encounters and graphically interesting spaces. In his work, he powerfully conveys real life and its stories, which are imbued with humanity, a quiet melancholy, and deep empathy.
