Marie-Joëlle Cherqui

Cherqui, a visual artist, paints in acrylic on paper having previously worked as a stylist for 20 years. She manipulates her papers, crumpled, impregnated, playing with nuances to produce faux-unis with fascinating depths and textures. Her extremely elaborate technique consists of tearing and assembling these portions of paper, creating a harmony of finesse and deconstruction.
