Sarah Cherif Gambin is a Paris-born, San Francisco-based painter who works primarily with ink, acrylics, oil pigments, oil sticks, and mixed media, drawing on her background in interior design, architecture, and a lifetime of cross-cultural exploration. Her technique masterfully blends abstraction, symbolism, and psychological depth, often using her bare hands to manipulate pigment and create layered, mirror-like surfaces inspired by Rorschach inkblots and organic patterns. Her evocative, tactile works channel dualities, power and vulnerability, instinct and restraint, inviting viewers into a stirring, introspective journey toward their own hidden emotions and inner freedom.
