It is another disguised tribute, and in a certain ironic way, to classical culture, alluding in the title of the work to a Venus, which is actually the name of one of the fonts that I incorporate in the work. The very name of that typeface is also written in small: "Venus Extended Bold", as a small search adventure through the universe of the work, like an imagined archeology. Ángel Celada is an experimented artist based in Spain whose paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. The central theory in his art explores life experiences and the way we evolve and overcome trauma or adverse circumstances. Celada's abstract and multilayered compositions garner inspiration from pop art, expressionism, art brut, and conceptual art. He creates using acrylics and collage on wood or paper.
