About this artwork
'Greenland no 5' is a new object in 'Theme of the Arctic'.
Earlier on Aase Lind painted a series of paintings from Greenland and the Scandinavian countries
and she frequently returns to the inspiring motifs from their very special nature.
A seascape of the floating ice rocks in the deep ocean on the coast side of Greenland.
One can imagine the rough life for the villagers living in the small brightly colored houses at the faraway hamlet.
The silence… seems total in the arctic areas and hopefully, the motif and use of a restricted palette of blue colors give calmness to the interior of the house.
Signature on the lower right corner and on the back.
Ready to hang and framing is optional as the sides are painted.
Aase Lind is a painter living and working in Denmark. She has previously completed courses at the School of Arts in Denmark where she was personally mentored by Henrik Hoffmann. Her semi-abstract paintings depict landscapes or floral still lifes, often using impossible colors to heighten the intensity of her subject matter.
