About this artwork

Normally, Aase Lind will not paint paraphrases of other artists' work, but Peter Doig's famous works excite the viewer so much that it makes us fantasize further. That's why I borrowed the renowned canoe and painted my version with a perhaps more cheerful and colourful impression.
In crafting this painting, Aase Lind let her passion for impressionism guide the brushstrokes, infusing the canvas with vibrant blues and greens. The serene symphony… of nature depicted captures the essence of peace and the profound peace the natural world offers. Using acrylics and pen brought this ethereal landscape to life, hoping to evoke a sense of calm and reflection in every viewer’s heart. It is a testament to the beauty and serenity of the untouched wild, designed to radiate tranquillity in any space.

Aase Lind is a painter living and working in Denmark. She has previously completed courses at the School of Arts in Denmark where she was personally mentored by Henrik Hoffmann. Her semi-abstract paintings depict landscapes or floral still lifes, often using impossible colors to heighten the intensity of her subject matter.
