About this artwork
A mesmerizing fusion of nature and architecture, "Gilded Twilight" captures the mystical energy of a hidden place bathed in glowing hues. The ornate structure, adorned with intricate details and surreal colors, emerges from lush overgrowth, blending seamlessly with the dreamlike landscape. Rich emerald greens and deep forest tones contrast against bursts of gold, violet, and fiery orange, evoking a sense of mystery and wonder.
The dripping textures… and fluid brushstrokes give the scene an ethereal, almost enchanted quality, as if the environment itself is alive and whispering forgotten stories. "Gilded Twilight" invites the viewer to step into an otherworldly realm where the past and present dissolve into a radiant, untamed vision of beauty.

Aasiri Wickremage is an artist with Sri Lankan roots, currently living in Surrey, UK. Drawing inspiration from multiple cultures, landscapes and landmarks - particularly those she has come across throughout her many travels, she composes works that highlight the experience of a landscape: mood, character, lighting and density. She zooms in and out of the actual memory of the landscape to construct new stories, seeking to represent both built and natural environments as an interconnected entity. Her paintings have featured in exhibitions and publications in the UK.
